| Here is my project! 1949 M with IH wide front. This pic was when I got it, I've done some work on it since, I'm working on the engine now. Bought sheetmetal and its on the way. I also have good manifold, distributor, generator, rimsand many other parts put on since this pic. Saved it from the scrap yard!!! | Yeah me too. They also had a JD A, MH 44, DC Case, IH M Rearend, IH F-14 and a number of Allis Chalmers tractors there. I bought the M and Dad bought the F-14, but we parted the F-14 because the engine wa in real bad shape. | |

| My M is a gas tractor, so I sold the shutters. All fuels used them. The IH wide fronts are a little hard to find. | |

| I like the early wide fronts, the one on Dad's H steers like a dream, steers real easy and turns sharp and rides real nice in high gear. Some guys I talk to say they hate the early wide fronts, they think they are so hard to get around and that a scwartz is better. Me and my Dad like the one on the H and it does not steer hard at all, I've used Scwartz, Early IH and late IH and the IH is by far my preference. My Dad's SMTA has the later WF the the tie rods behind the axle. | |

| looks like it would be easy to run those early styles into somethin. But the only 2 IH wide fronts ive drove are the 300 U and a 756 and idr how to drive a 756 anymore since that was so long ago | |

| If you are careful and know well how to drive it, then they are not in the way and don't get bent. Dad's H tie rod was bent when he got the tractor, but we had a machine shop starighten it for $20. | |
